So, I dusted off the old BFV disc, and went back to the jungles once again. I felt like reliving some old battles of shooter games past. Though Battlefield Vietnam certainly draws comparisons to its predecessor and to community modifications, it isn’t set up as a direct sequel to Battlefield 1942. Most of us remember the addictive and incredibly detailed online shooter that was Battlefield 1942. The revamped UI for this game in my opinion is a huge step back.

What I like most about the BF series was the simple, but very intuitive UI. I picked this title up a couple years ago just to play on servers that used Vietnam maps. I have been a big fan of the Battlefield 1942 games since they first came out.
